Frank Armstrong is a senior law enforcement Security and Training Consultant for Edward Davis, LLC. In this role, Frank provides expert services in investigation, physical site assessments, training and presenting. He retired from the Boston Police Department with over 34 years of law enforcement experience. Throughout his years of service, Frank has held every civil service rank up to and including his most recent role as district Captain.
Frank rose through the ranks of the Boston Police Department beginning as a patrol officer to district detective, homicide detective, sergeant, lieutenant, and lieutenant detective. During the later part of his career, he held the position of commander of the Boston Police Drug Control Unit and district captain in both Dorchester and Hyde Park neighborhoods of Boston. In 2009, he was elected by his peers to be the union president for the Boston Police Superior Officers’ Federation.
He holds a BA in Criminal Justice from Curry College, a MA in Justice Studies from Boston University and an MBA from Curry College. He has attended the DEA Commanders’ Academy, PERF’s Senior Management in Policing Program, the Southern Police Institute’s Chief Executive Leadership Program, Northwestern University’s Command School, FBI LEADA program and has participated in counter-terrorism studies at the Institute for Counter-Terrorism in Herzliya, Israel.
