Bernard O’Rourke

Senior Physical Site Security Specialist


Bernard O’Rourke is a former Superintendent of the Boston Police Department. He most recently served as the Chief of the Bureau of Field Services, where he had command of over 1,700 Police Officers. O’Rourke planned for, and had operational and tactical command of, numerous large demonstrations, labor disputes, political rallies and debates, major road races, parades and other public events, including the Boston Marathon, Caribbean Festival, and “Occupy Boston.” O’Rourke was an integral part of the planning and implementation for security at the Democratic National Convention in 2004.  O’Rourke has received several awards from community groups and business organizations and has received numerous letters of commendation for his work done at the Boston Police Department.
