Gary Eblan

Gary Eblan is a Training Specialist with The Edward Davis Company. Eblan has worked for the Boston Police Department for over 20 years and is currently the Commander of the Recruit Investigations Unit. Eblan has teaching certifications from both the F.B.I. and the Massachusetts Municipal Police Training Committee. Between 2007 and 2015, Eblan served as the Registrar of the Boston Police Academy. In addition to teaching, he supervised a staff that created, designed, implemented, and executed all levels of law enforcement training. In 2014, Eblan was one of twelve supervisors across the United States awarded a three-year Fellowship at the Law Enforcement Advancing Data and Science (L.E.A.D.S) Program.  The L.E.A.D.S. Program is a partnership between the National Institute of Justice and the International Association of Chiefs of Police and is committed to advancing and integrating science and law enforcement policies and practice. Eblan has taught thousands of law enforcement personnel and civilian groups in personal safety for the workplace, in public, and in their home.

Eblan holds an M.A. in Criminal Justice from Anna Maria College, a B.S. in Criminal Justice from Northeastern University and a Certificate in Public Administration from Suffolk University. He has held supervisory positions in the Boston Police Department Bureau of Investigative Services, Bureau of Professional Standards, Bureau of Professional Development, and as a member of the Special Operations S.W.A.T. Team.
